Chicago, Illinois (August 12, 2016) – M & J Wilkow announced the sale of 20 South Clark Street on August 12, 2016. The 364,874 square foot multi-tenant office tower located in the heart of Chicago’s central business district was sold to a European investment firm. M & J Wilkow has been retained to manage the property on the Owner’s behalf.
M & J Wilkow acquired South Clark Street in 2007, and immediately implemented an extensive asset improvement program. During M & J Wilkow’s ownership, the property’s building systems were improved and amenities enhanced with a lobby renovation, elevator modernization, and the addition of a state of the art fitness center and conference facility.
“20 South Clark Street is an institutional-quality property that has benefited from strong performance associated with strategic capital improvements” said Marty Sweeney, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management at M & J Wilkow. “The building’s recent renovations and sought-after central business district location were key contributing factors to maximizing price for this transaction.”
Situated between Madison Street and Monroe Street on the west side of Clark Street, the property has floor to ceiling glass and unobstructed views from its high-rise in all directions. The building has direct underground pedway access to Chase Tower, Urban Market Food Court and the CTA Blue Line.
