The building at 203 N. LaSalle, managed by M & J Wilkow, has been named the recipient of 2019’s Building Owners and Managers Association of Chicago’s (BOMA/Chicago) award for The Outstanding Renovated Building of the Year (TOBY) at the Gold Circle Awards Gala.
Previously, M & J Wilkow received recognition at 203 N. LaSalle by USGBC for its Platinum achievement in LEED certification for energy use, lighting, water and material use, as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies at the Office Tower, located in Chicago’s CBD.
203 N. LaSalle is a 15-story office tower that is part of a 27-story complex, spanning a full city block. The recently completed $14 million project for the building features two tenant lounges, a high-energy fitness center, state of the art conference/training center, unique interior atrium and an array of food service and cafes.
“Preparing a submission for consideration by the TOBY Award judges presented our management team with yet another great opportunity to work together as a team toward a common goal. Each member of the staff representing all of our departments – engineers, management, security, and cleaning – contributed to the effort,” said Sallie Fulwiler, General Manager of 203 N. LaSalle. “We knew that the work required to pull together a comprehensive submission would require quite an effort, but we were inspired by the wonderful results of 203 Building’s renovation project, and wanted to share our enthusiasm with the BOMA committee. We could not be more pleased.”
BOMA’s TOBY Award recognizes outstanding accomplishments in commercial real estate for building operations, management, “green” initiatives and procedures, community outreach and tenant relations.
